Dandadan Vol. 5 (English) – VIZ Media Manga

The group heads to a hot springs town chasing answers about Jiji's family — but a strange local family with ties to the police has other plans for them. Before anyone gets close to solving the actual mystery, Momo finds herself offered up to the town's local god.

This volume takes the series out of its usual setting and into folk-horror territory, and it's a good showcase for how well Tatsu builds dread around small-town secrets without slowing the pace down. Momo also gets a rare turn as the one in immediate danger, which shifts the group dynamic in an interesting way.

Rated Mature, consistent with the series.
